COSTEP with it's instruments EPHIN and LION forms part of the collaboration between the Space Research Laboratory, University of Turku, Finland, the Institut für Experimentelle und Angewandte Physik, University of Kiel, Germany, the St. Patricks's College, Maynooth, Ireland, the Universidad de Alcalá Henares, Spain, and the KFKI Hungarian Research Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics, Budapest, Hungary. Finland provides ERNE, the Energetic and Relativistic Nuclei and Electron experiment. Both experiments, ERNE and COSTEP are designed for particle measurements. The LVPC (Low Voltage Power Converter, see Fig. 2) is also provided by Finland. Ireland and Hungary provide LION and Spain the CDPU (Common data Processing Unit).
